Custom Metal Fabrication of Concave Roll for the Aluminum Rolling Industry

Recently, an aluminum rolling company approached Numerical Concepts to custom fabricate a concave roll. We were tasked with cutting, milling, turning, drilling, welding, grinding and assembling 100, 2400 lbs steel concave rolls. Using a variety of high-end equipment (Cincinnati Sabre vertical milling machines and CNClathes, band saws, manual lathes and a Burgmaster horizontal mill) we were able to manufacture the concave rolls within tightest tolerances of +/- .0005. Every part received 100% inspection and came with a 32 RA finish.
